It's shocking in implication, as shocking as the US murdering over three thousand of its own citizens to justify two wars for oil. It's no harder to believe than the fairy story about one passport, made of paper, surviving a plane crash so bad the theoretcially indestructible black box was destroyed. It's no harder to believe than Usama suddenly putting on twenty pounds to claim responsibility for 911, then shedding it just as fast to deny that people who pray to God five times a day and are indoctinated as to the inviolability of women and children and the sacredness of human life would commit multiple atrocities. It's no harder than watching your own video of 911, if you have one (I have, cos me video was set to record Star Trek, and instead got something far more far fectched!), and observing the timed explosives that collapsed the towers as the commentators remark how like a staged demolition it is.

If you can't imagine any of this being possible, can you imagine a leader blowing up a public building and blaming "enemies of the state" and thereby grabbing more power? It happened with the Reichstag, with then popular politician Adolf Hitler. Or can you imagine the state being aware of a plot to blow up parliament, but letting it go ahead, so it could demonise the would-be bombers and everyone of the same religion and grab all of the property of that religion? No? Well, that happened four hundred years ago.
